WHAT IS A JOCKEY BOX?
An easy-to-use "REAL" portable bar used for picnics, parties, or to keep a KEG FRESH for multiple days after tapping. CO2 is used to pressurize the keg so no hand pumping is necessary and oxygen does not enter the keg (OXYGEN is what makes them go flat). Simply fill the cooler with ice, add a couple pitchers of water, turn on the gas, and open the tap! As the beer travels through the iced jockey box coils it becomes COLD. Beer poured thru jockey boxes will stay fresh and bubbly for over week, just like in a real bar. THIS IS ALL YOU NEED.

JOCKEY BOX BEER POURING 101
POURING
- GRAB LOW, PULL FAST. Pulling the tap too slowly is the most common mistake.
- The faster you pull the tap on and off, the more beer and less gas you get.
- Use the base of the tap, not the top. (it's faster)
GAS
- Never adjust the gas. We preset them between 15-20 PSI.
- When not in use, turn the gas OFF on the knob on the tank itself. This way there’s no chances of losing gas to leaks.
ICING
- DO NOT ice the box until you are ready to pour. You can ice the kegs anytime.
- When you ice the box, make sure you fill it completely to the top.
- IMPORTANT: Pour a little beer thru the lines as soon as you ice. This will keep the lines from freezing up.
- Add 2-3 pitchers of water to the ice, which will make beer cool even faster and further reduce foaming.
